About the Artist:
With a lifetime artistic affinity, Katherine Laflamme first studied arts and literature in both French and English institutions in Quebec City. After living in the UK and Ireland for a few years, she settled in Vancouver to study fine arts, graphic design and 3D animation. For the next 20 years, she worked on several award-winning animated TV feature films productions as a Digital Matte Painter, but never stopped painting on canvas. Her favorite mediums are acrylics and oil while favorite subjects seek to explore life’s patterns, sometimes including a tongue-in-cheek social commentary. Lately, Katherine is pursuing a societal conversation about the arrival of AI in the production of arts, entertainment, and in the media in general.
