Once upon a time, Jesters were a mirror to high society. Acting as voluntary scapegoats, the Jesters’ clever humour helped keep rulers’ egos in check throughout history. But what happens when nobody listens to the Jester? What if the Jester gets… shadowbanned? 

Today’s Jesters no longer speak truth to power by dancing around and cracking jokes in court. They’re online, subject to impersonal algorithms that protect power and money interests.

So if the Jesters of our time cannot be heard in the halls of the internet high courts, who is telling power it has no clothes?
