In times of video games, AI and short videos, many may find themselves longing for more traditional art forms that promote delayed gratification. The “Fables Affable” series borrows the 1600’s timeless format of Jean de La Fontaine’s classic fables to create fresh, modern and slightly tongue-in-cheek stories to tackle today’s reality.
Although the stories are mostly aimed for 5 to 8 year-olds, they discuss life situations that affect everybody at every age and era. Written in prose, the books organically expand vocabulary, while offering an opportunity for in-depth conversations between children, their parents, teachers and peers. The stories go beyond entertainment value by encouraging self-discovery, resilience, independence and critical thinking.
