About the Artist:
With a lifetime artistic affinity, Katherine Laflamme first studied arts and literature in both French and English institutions in Quebec City. After living in the UK for 2 years, she settled in Vancouver to study fine arts, graphic design and 3D animation. For the next 20 years, she worked on several award-winning animated TV series and feature films as a Digital Matte Painter, but never stopped painting on canvas. Her favorite mediums are acrylics, oils, pencil and charcoal while favorite subjects usually hover around exploring life’s patterns, sometimes including a tongue-in-cheek social commentary. Lately, Katherine seeks to have a societal conversation about the arrival of AI in the production of arts, entertainment, advertising and in the media in general.
